1952

M.E.R.A.T.E., born as a craft company dedicated to maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and receivers, later focused on radiological and physiotherapeutic equipment.

 A few years later the company’s first orthoscope and single-phase generator with vacuum rectifier diodes were designed and constructed.

1958

Company name change to ELETTROMEDICALI MERATE S.r.l. and expansion of the product range with the inclusion of physiotherapeutic equipment.

’60s – ’70s

The company shifts its focus to the design and production of innovative equipment for radiographic diagnostics, becoming a supplier for a variety of multinational corporations.

1971

’80s

GMM provides a complete range of medical radiology equipment, especially radiological generators, image intensifiers, all-purpose remote-controlled exam tables, mammographers and mobile radiological units for theatre procedures.

1987

The company is acquired by a group led by Massimo Sordi.

’90s

Following the tremendous success of the MTT90 table, GMM’s engineers develop a new line of remote-controlled tables with the name OPERA T, which over the years, thanks to their configurability and advanced performance, has become one of the company’s main core businesses.
